Unit Plans
Most of my education journey has been in instruction 10th graders. During that time, I realized that this particular group is a little "lost." They can't claim the naivete of a freshman, nor can they say they're as enlightened as the upperclassmen. So over my tenure I amassed a wealth of materials that seek to address the overarching essential question: Who am I and where is my place in the world? Each of these units offers a possible answer to that question for the soul-searching sophomore. These units are designed to cover the whole school year and include standards addressed, text options, and transferrable skills from 9th grade to 11th grade. These unit plans are the anchor for my course, and daily lessons are adjusted accordingly based on student needs and current research in best practices. See Daily Objectives for a more specific look into activities.
