Peardeck™ Slides

Integrating Pear Deck into my eLearning design is a powerful way to turn passive slide presentations into interactive, student-centered experiences. Pear Deck allows me to embed formative check-ins, polls, open-ended questions, and draggable activities directly into lesson slides, creating a space where students are actively engaged rather than just observing. It encourages participation from all learners—especially those who may be less likely to speak up in a traditional setting—by giving them a safe and anonymous way to share their thinking.

Using Pear Deck also helps me gauge understanding in real time, making it easier to adapt instruction, provide timely feedback, and ensure that learning is moving forward for everyone. For students, it offers increased agency, reflection, and immediate interaction—key ingredients for deeper learning. In my eLearning practice, Pear Deck is more than just a tech tool—it’s an intentional strategy for making digital learning interactive, inclusive, and responsive.

Slide Decks

I use this particular deck to provide live lectures on analyzing text rhetorically for my AP Language and Composition class. It takes the work of Joliffe and Roskelley — normally a difficult subject — and allows them to interact with the ideas and test their knowledge in real time.
